On February 27, ten teams from Project Healthcare gathered at Sarah Cannon Corporate Office to network with industry experts and pitch their businesses at Project Healthcare Startup Showcase, a milestone that marks a little over halfway through the program.

At the EC, we have realized that an extraordinary way to celebrate this month is by highlighting some African American businesses that are putting on special events for Black History Month or celebrate Black History and African American culture year-round.
The movers and shakers of Nashville’s business community gathered at Rocketown on November 6 for the 2019 NEXT Awards + Entrepreneur’s Hall of Fame, recognizing the innovators and visionaries making Nashville one of the best cities in the country to grow a business. At the SOLD OUT event, companies of all stages and markets were honored for their contributions to the economy of Middle Tennessee.
The Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s Project Healthcare teams traveled back to Nashville last Thursday for their second immersive experience as part of the year-long program. While in town, these founders connected directly to healthcare experts from industry partners, including Healthstream, HCA, Brookdale, Aspire, Amerigroup, Amsurg, LifePoint, Tenncare and Carefluence.
Edtech startup Possip took home $60,000 at the LaunchTN 3686 Entrepreneur Festival pitch competition last week, beating out eight startups for both the $10,000 crowd favorite award and the $50,000 main competition prize.
The 2018 NEXT Awards + Entrepreneurs' Hall of Fame, held November 7, 2018, at Rocketown celebrated the rebels, visionaries, and game changers who have made a significant impact on the economy in Middle Tennessee. Steve Case, Co-Founder of AOL and the CEO of Revolution, will begin the four-day “Rise of the Rest” Road Trip through the heart of America in partnerhsip with UP Global, starting Tuesday, June 24. The tour bus will stop in four key cities to highlight the rising entrepreneurial spirit and thriving startup communities. The four stops are Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Nashville.
In each city, ten companies will pitch their stories to Steve Case and a select group of judges. One company in each city will be selected for a $100,000 investment from Steve Case. The Pitch Competition in Nashville will be held at The Nashville Entrepreneur Center at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 27.
