Meet the Spring 2026 Cohort

A practicing physician spent 17 years caring for the most medically fragile patients in the country. He kept watching providers fail at value-based care — not because they weren’t good doctors, but because their data was a mess. So he built a platform to fix it.

At the next table, a physical therapist, a Latina engineer, and a game developer are building VR therapy content for rehabilitation clinics. Across the room, a researcher from Botswana is developing affordable assistive technologies to empower Deaf communities across Africa.

This is Project Healthcare, the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s healthcare-focused accelerator. Twenty-two companies. Founders who are physicians, nurses, Wall Street traders, firefighters, biomedical engineers, and military veterans. They’re building medical devices, AI platforms, care coordination tools, diagnostic sensors, and food-as-medicine supply chains. Five of these companies are part of a new partnership between the EC and Life Science Tennessee to commercialize technologies across the state.
