Olive’s introduction of automation and Amazon’s national rollout of Amazon Care telehealth services are driving the transformation of healthcare
Nashville, Tenn. (August 18, 2021) – The Telehealth Academy, a program presented by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s Project Healthcare, The Disruption Lab and Sage Growth Partners, has named Olive as the academy’s Presenting Sponsor while also strengthening its faculty with the addition of Kristen Helton, General Manager of Amazon Care.
The Academy is an eight-week program designed for healthcare industry professionals and early-stage innovators and entrepreneurs who are interested in garnering insights from top experts within the industry including:
- Senator William (Bill) Frist – Frist-Cressey Ventures
- Dr. Michael Petersen, Chief Clinical Innovation Officer of NTT DATA,
- Jonathan Bush, Founder-CEO of Zus Health
- Nick Desai, Founder of Heal and HeyRenee
- Paul Keckley, Strategist and policy expert of The Keckley Report
- Meg Barron, VP Digital Health Strategy of the AMA
- Dr. Lyle Berkowitz, Telehealth expert
- Dr. John Shufeldt, Founder of MeMD
- Among many others
Participants will also hear from telehealth and virtual care experts from Mayo Clinic, Atrium Health, Teladoc, Mass General Brigham, HCA Healthcare, Intermountain Healthcare, Blue Shield of California, the Center for Connected Health Policy, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, among other leading institutions.
Olive is designed to drive connections, shining a new light on the broken healthcare processes that stand between payers, providers, and patient care. Using AI to create these connections, Olive helps make healthcare more efficient, affordable, and effective.
“The addition of Olive as Presenting Sponsor further illustrates the importance, relevance, and timeliness of this Academy – bringing together industry professionals with entrepreneurs and innovators to build upon the accelerations in telehealth and virtual care at the onset of the pandemic” said Eric Thrailkill, Chair of Project Healthcare.
Olive joins current Telehealth Academy sponsors NTT DATA, Oneview Healthcare, North Highland, InfoWorks, Nashville Health Care Council, Tennessee Chapter of HIMSS, Clearwater Compliance, and UnitiHealth.
Earlier this year, Amazon announced the national rollout of its Amazon Care telehealth services featuring urgent care, preventive care, wellness, treatment of chronic diseases and prescriptions. Kristen Helton, founder and General Manager of Amazon Care, who joined Amazon in 2015 as principal scientist to assess opportunities in biotechnology, healthcare and beyond, has been added to the Academy faculty.
“Two of the most significant events impacting care delivery over the last few months were the announcements of Amazon’s national rollout of its Amazon Care telehealth services, and Walmart’s purchase of MeMD, expanding its capability to provide virtual care across the nation,” noted Phil Gibbs, Principal at The Disruption Lab. “We are very excited to have Kristen Helton join the Academy faculty, an esteemed roster that includes MeMD founder, Dr. John Shufeldt.”
Registration for the Academy is open now, with the discounted Innovator rate available through September 1, 2021.
