Brittany Chase is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor of Musicology and Ethnomusicology at Vanderbilt University and Belmont University. She specializes in American Popular Music and also teaches courses in World Music and the intersections of Music, Identity and Diversity.

What advice would you give someone seeking to create, launch or grow a business?
Invest in relationships and take a genuine interest in people as people first, rather than as business connections. Kindness and compassion go such a long way in forming relationships and creating supportive networks!
What does the world need more of?
Hearts that are open to vulnerability, connection, and empathy. Everyone has a story that should be heard and understood.
Why the EC?The people that come here are truly genuine and kind humans. I’m not the typical entrepreneur, but the co-working space has given me more than just a place to work each day. I’ve met the most amazing people here who genuinely take interest in others and want each other to succeed. I love this place so much!
