In 2016, Jessika Cunningham arrived in the U.S. from Brazil through the Au Pair program. She married an Army soldier. Enlisted herself. Active duty. Now they are building a premium cachaça brand with double organic certification and full traceability from Brazil’s Atlantic Forest.
A few seats over, a clinical psychologist with 25 years of practice is watching AI companies build emotionally manipulative products. So she built an ethical consent framework — the anti-hype AI company. Chatting in the café, a Nashville artist and fashion designer taught herself full-stack engineering after a previous hire couldn’t deliver, then took over the entire codebase herself.
This is TakeOff, the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s accelerator for early-stage founders. Thirty companies. The industries range from AI and fintech to clean beauty, specialty spirits, real estate, education, food and beverage, and competitive intelligence. Most are pre-revenue or early revenue. All of them are here to build.
