“Imagine a world where your health is protected by artificial intelligence,” said Victor Brown, founder and CEO of Xcellent Life at today’s Pitch for Good event.
Visions of a high-tech future abounded at the very first in-person Pitch for Good event in partnership with the Greater Nashville Technology Council‘s 2021 Analytics Summit.
“I think it’s safe to say that technology is coming out of this pandemic stronger than ever and that the future of tech in Nashville is bright,” said Brian Moyer, CEO and President of the Greater Nashville Technology Council.
Six entrepreneurs across education, defense, sustainability and more pitched their businesses at the Omni Hotel for Pitch for Good: Data, Analytics, AI Edition to a crowd of Nashville’s most tech savvy minds, and one came out on top.
“There are many great nonprofits to help people; the problem is that nonprofits are not integrated into an enterprise solution,” said Tom Tinsley, founder of winning company Project Maslow.
Project Maslow, which aggregates non-profit organization information to create easy access for users and potential donors, was named today’s winner by a panel of three expert judges, receiving a cash grant to grow the business provided by HCA Healthcare, plus exclusive access to a Deep Racer Machine Learning program provided by AWS.
Six teams presented one-minute “elevator pictures” on-stage for the opportunity to win:

“That’s what I want to inspire people to do – live for good,” said Arbuckle.
A panel of three expert judges did the remarkable job of deciding the winner, based on their pitch, the validity of the business idea, and the product’s potential for social impact:

- Brian Moyer, President and CEO of the Greater Nashville Technology Council
- Daniel Ness, Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services
“If we can help one family in Middle Tennessee get back together, that’s a success. And if we can help one, we can help ten thousand,” Tinsley said.
